Respon Pertumbuhan Tanaman Hias Aglaonema sp. Var. Butterfly Akibat Jenis Media Tanam dan Konsentrasi Vinasse
Abstract
Aglaonema sp. (var. butterfly) is a leaf ornamental plant that can live in closed or open spaces. Judging from the increasing demand for aglaonema every year, aglaonema cultivation can be improved by using polybag media by paying attention to the use of planting media and the provision of vinasse concentration. This study aims to obtain the effect of the interaction between the use of planting media and the concentration of vinasse on the growth of ornamental plants Aglaonema sp. (var. butterfly). The research was conducted from February to April 2024 at the screenhouse of Singaperbangsa University Karawang Campus 2, Karawang. The research used an experimental method with a Factorial Randomized Group Design (RAK) environment design with 2 factors consisting of 12 treatments. The first factor was the type of planting media with 3 levels, namely m1 (cocopeat), m2 (husk charcoal), and m3 (sawdust). The second factor is vinasse concentration with 4 levels, namely v1 (0 L/ha), v2 (15,000 L/ha), v3 (20,000 L/ha), and v4 (25,000 L/ha). Each treatment was repeated 3 times so there were 36 experimental units. The effect of treatment was tested with ANOVA at the 5% level, if the F test was significant, then continued with the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% level. The results showed that there was an interaction effect between the type of planting media and vinasse concentration on the average stem diameter of plants (35 and 42 HST) and the average number of leaves (14, 21, 28, 35, 42 HST). The treatment of sawdust planting media type (m3) with the provision of vinasse concentration of 15,000 L/Ha gave the best average on the parameters of stem diameter (35 and 42 HST) and the number of leaves (14, 21, 28, 35, and 42 HST). In the parameter of stem diameter, age 35 HST reached an average stem diameter of 6.17 mm and age 42 HST reached an average of 6.61 mm, while in the parameter of the number of leaves, age 14 HST reached an average of 4.11 strands, age 21 HST reached an average of 5.11 strands, age 28 HST reached an average of 5.56 strands, age 35 HST reached an average of 5.89 strands and age 42 HST reached an average of 6.33 strands.
