Pengaruh Konsentrasi Pupuk Daun dan Penambahan Hormon Auksin Naphthalene Acetic Acid (NAA) terhadap Pertumbuhan Anggrek (Dendrobium hybrid) pada Fase Aklimatisasi
Abstract
Orchid is one type of ornamental plant that is in great demand by the people of Indonesia, so it has the potential to be developed in the horticultural sector. Orchid propagation can be done by using tissue culture method. The final stage as well as the determinant of success in tissue culture techniques is acclimatization. This study aims to get the best treatment of leaf fertilizer concentration and the addition of NAA (Naphthalene Acetic Acid) that can support the growth process of orchids (Dendrobium hybrid) in the acclimatization phase. The method used is Single Factor Randomized Group Design (RAK). There are 9 types of treatment combinations including A (0 g/l + 0 ppm), B (0 g/l + 2 ppm), C (0 g/l + 4 ppm), D (2 g/l + 0 ppm), E (2 g/l + 2 ppm), F (2 g/l + 4 ppm), G (3 g/l + 0 ppm), H (3 g/l + 2 ppm) and I (3 g/l + 4 ppm) which were repeated 4 times. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at the 5% level, if the effect was significant then continued with the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% level. The results showed that there was a significant effect of the concentration of leaf fertilizer and NAA on the average growth of leaf width, number of leaves and fresh weight of plants, but no significant effect on the average growth of plant height, leaf length and root length. Treatment G gave the highest average growth of leaf width and fresh weight of plants, which amounted to 2.60 cm and 10.37 grams, respectively. And treatment B gives the highest average growth of the number of leaves, which amounted to 12.83 strands.
