Analisis Mutu Biji Kopi Robusta (Coffea canephora) Berdasarkan Standar Nasional Indonesia dari Beberapa Daerah di Jawa Barat dengan Masing-Masing Varietas Tertentu

Abstract


National coffee commodity production is dominated by Robusta coffee which reaches 90% and the remaining 10% of production is Arabica coffee. In West Java, coffee is also a strategic commodity which plays an important role in the economy. The quality of rice coffee or coffee beans is determined according to the Indonesian National Standard (SNI 01-02907-2008) which includes special quality requirements for robusta coffee with a defect value system. The aim of this research is to determine the level of best quality value for several green bean robusta coffee beans in West Java based on the Indonesian National Standard. This research was carried out at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Singaperbangsa University Karawang (Unsika) for 3 months from January to March 2024. The research method used was a single factor Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 4 treatments, namely BP-408 Sanggabuana Karawang, BP- 308 Cisadon Bogor, BP-234 Puntang Bandung and BP-409 Pangalengan. All treatments were repeated 9 times. The effect of treatment was analyzed using the F test and Least Significant Difference (LSD) further test at the 5% level. The results of the research show that there are differences in the quality of the four West Java robusta varieties. West Java coffee beans are considered to have met the quality criteria in accordance with Indonesian National Standards. The BP-409 Pangalengan variety gave the lowest (best) defect value compared to other varieties with an average defect value of 13.9.
