Uji Bawang Merah Varietas Lokal Samosir dengan Radiasi Sinar Gamma Terhadap Perubahan Karakter Morfologi

Abstract


This study aims to produce high production, as well as identify changes in the morphological characteristics of shallot plants. This study was conducted in Dosroha Village, Simanindo, Samosir Regency, North Sumatra with an altitude of ± 900 meters above sea level carried out in October 2024 to December 2024. The treatments were arranged in a non-factorial Randomized Block Design. Shallot bulbs were irradiated with several doses of gamma ray irradiation (0, 1, and 2Gy) using a Co 60 irradiation source. The results showed that there were differences in morphology between radiation treatments. The diameter of the bulb with the highest value at 0 gy (control) and the lowest at 2 gy, this proves that the dose of gamma ray radiation affects the morphological characteristics of.
