Pengaruh Konsentrasi Paclobutrazol Terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Beberapa Varietas Kacang Kedelai (Glycine max L.)

Abstract


This study aims to evaluate the effect of various concentrations of paclobutrazol on the growth and yield of several soybean (Glycine max L.) varieties. The research was conducted using a factorial randomized block design (RBD) with two factors: soybean varieties (Dering 1, Devon 1, and Dega 1) and paclobutrazol concentrations (0 ppm, 10 ppm, 20 ppm, and 30 ppm). Observed parameters included plant height, leaf number, productive branches, flowering age, root length, and seed number and weight. Analysis of variance showed that paclobutrazol significantly affected most of the observed variables. The 0 ppm treatment resulted in the best vegetative growth, while the 10 ppm and 20 ppm treatments produced higher generative yields such as seed weight and number. Paclobutrazol application effectively shifted the plant's energy from vegetative growth to generative development, enhancing soybean productivity. The optimal concentration for the best yield ranged between 10–20 ppm, depending on the variety and priority parameters. Keywords: soybean, paclobutrazol, variety
