Pengaruh Pemberian Limbah Air Cucian Beras Sebagai Nutrisi Tanaman Microgreen Pakcoy (brassica rapa l.) yang Dibudidayakan secara Hidroponik
Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of providing rice washing wastewater as nutrients on the growth and quality of microgreen pak choi (Brassica rapa L.) plants cultivated hydroponically. The study was conducted using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three treatments, namely P0 (control 20% AB-mix), P1 (25% rice washing wastewater + 20% AB-mix), and P2 (50% rice washing wastewater + 20% AB-mix), each of which was repeated six times. The parameters observed included the percentage of germination power, plant height, number of leaves, fresh weight, and organoleptic tests including texture, color, aroma, and taste. The results showed that the provision of rice washing wastewater had no significant effect on the vegetative and generative growth of microgreen pak choi plants, namely plant height, number of leaves, fresh weight, and percentage of germination power. However, organoleptic tests showed that the treatment with a combination of rice washing wastewater was well received by consumers. In the texture parameter P3, it is more in demand by panelists, the color parameter P2 is more in demand by panelists, the aroma is less fragrant in (P1). And in the taste parameter of treatment one (P0) with a bland taste, sweet in the second treatment (P1), and slightly bitter in the third treatment (P2). Thus, rice washing wastewater has the potential to be used as an alternative organic nutrient in hydroponic cultivation of pakcoy microgreens, especially to increase the organoleptic value of the product.
