Focus and Scope

Jurnal Civitas is a periodic scientific journal that is published twice a year (March and September) that publishes original research results on citizenship education. This journal aims to develop concepts, theories, perspectives, paradigms, and methodologies in the study of the science of citizenship education.
 

Key Focus & Scope Areas:

  • Education, Cultural diversity, equality, and social justice in citizenship
  • Civic education, pedagogy, and socio-economic contexts (Local, National, & Global)
  • Social responsibility, ethics, political literacy, and legal awareness

Every manuscript that goes to the editor will be assessed by the reviewer. The review process was conducted in a peer review process, meaning that the reviewer did not know the identity of the author, and so the author did not know the identity of the reviewer.

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts are read by the editorial staff. Those manuscripts evaluated by editors to be inappropriate to journal criteria are rejected promptly without external review. Manuscripts evaluated to be of potential interest to our readership are sent to single-blind review. The editors then make a decision based on the reviewers recommendation from among several possibilities: rejected, require major revision, need minor revision, or accepted.

Semua naskah yang dikirimkan dibaca oleh staf editorial. Naskah-naskah yang dievaluasi oleh editor yang tidak sesuai dengan kriteria jurnal ditolak segera tanpa tinjauan eksternal. Naskah yang dinilai berpotensi menarik bagi pembaca akan dikirim ke ulasan . Para editor kemudian membuat keputusan berdasarkan rekomendasi pengkaji dari beberapa kemungkinan, diantaranya yaitu: ditolak, memerlukan revisi besar, memerlukan revisi kecil, atau diterima.

 

 

Publication Frequency

CIVITAS: Journal of Learning and Civic Sciences is published 2 (two) times a year in March and September, containing writings/articles of ideas and research results written by experts, scientists, practitioners, reviewers, lecturers and students in the disciplines of education and learning and civic science in general.

CIVITAS: Jurnal Pembelajaran dan Ilmu Kewarganegaraan diterbitkan 2 (dua) kali setahun pada bulan Maret dan September, berisi tulisan/artikel ide dan hasil penelitian yang ditulis oleh para ahli, ilmuwan, praktisi, pengulas, dosen, dan mahasiswa di bidang pendidikan dan pembelajaran serta ilmu kewarganegaraan secara umum.

 

Open Access Policy

This Journal is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to disseminating high-quality, original research on the discourse and practice of citizenship. All published articles are freely accessible worldwide to maximize research visibility, readership, and citation impact.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
