Pengaruh Aplikasi Pupuk Urea dan Pupuk Kandang Ayam Terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Tanaman Jagung (Zea mays L.)

Abstract


Corn is an important food commodity. However, production has yet to meet market needs. One cause is a lack of nutrients during growth. This research aims to determine the effect of urea fertilizer and chicken manure on the development and production of hybrid corn plants (Zea mays L). This research used a factorial Randomized Block Design with two treatment levels. The first factor is Urea (K) fertilizer with three treatment levels: K1=150 Kg/Ha, K2=200 Kg/Ha, and K3=250 Kg/Ha. The second factor is chicken manure (P) with three treatment levels: P1=20 tons/Ha, P2=30 tons/Ha, and P3=40 tons/Ha. The results showed that urea fertilizer significantly affected plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, weight of cobs with husks/plots, and weight of cobs without husks/plots. Providing urea fertilizer at a dose of 250 kg/ha produces the best corn growth and production. Providing chicken manure significantly affected plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, weight of cobs with husks/plots, and weight of cobs without husks/plots. Providing manure at a dose of 40 tons/ha produces the best corn growth and production. The interaction of urea fertilizer and chicken manure significantly affected plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, weight of cobs with husks/plot, and weight of cobs without husks/plot. The best corn growth and production were obtained in the K3P3 treatment combination.
