Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines

Since the second edition in 2026 (Volume 12; Number 2), accepted manuscripts have been written in standard Indonesian or English. Authors are permitted to submit manuscripts in Indonesian if they originate from Indonesia, but must agree to have the manuscript published in English if it has been accepted and deemed suitable for publication.
Manuscripts are a maximum of 12 pages and a minimum of 6 pages, written in Arial font (10pt) on A4 paper with margins of 2.5 cm left, 2.5 cm right, 2 cm top, and 2 cm bottom. The introduction should include a background, written in Arial font (10pt). A brief review of directly related previous research and expected findings may also be included. The introduction should provide an overview of the importance of the research and serve as an introduction for readers unfamiliar with the topic.

References in manuscripts are listed using the "[1]" numbering system. When citing an article written by two or more authors, all must be cited, for example, [1];[2];[3].

The title of the manuscript should be as concise as possible and should reflect the contents of the manuscript.

The author's name is listed, followed by the author's affiliation and email address.

The abstract should not exceed 250 words in any language format and should be written narratively, consisting of the purpose/objectives, methods, and findings of the research/article.

Keywords: 5 important, specific, or representative words or phrases for the article.

Bibliographic citations are made in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) style, using the symbols [1];[2];[3] and so on, which are used as references in citations, references, and writing formatting.

Article references must be in the form of journals and non-journals published within the last 10 years, with a minimum of 20 references.
Manuscripts must be written following the available template: Jurnal Belajar dan Matematika Sigma template.
Manuscripts must be in .doc format and submitted to the journal system online by creating an account in this Open Journal System (OJS) [click REGISTER if you don't have an account; or click LOGIN if you already have one].
All author names and identities must be fully embedded in the form filled out by the corresponding author: email; affiliation; and a brief biography of each author (in the 'Bio Statement' column). [If the manuscript is written by two or more authors, please click 'Add Author' in step 3 'ENTER METADATA' in the submission process and then enter each author's details.]
All correspondence, information, and decisions regarding submitted manuscripts are made via the email address specified in the manuscript and/or the email address used for submission. Manuscript status can be checked in OJS by logging in to the journal.
If the manuscript has been declared accepted, the author must send a statement stating that the originality of the writing is his/her own and has never been published by another publisher.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage Policy

The journal acknowledges that Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, including Generative AI, can be used as an aid in the writing and development of scientific manuscripts. However, the use of AI must be carried out responsibly and transparently, and remain under the full control and responsibility of the author.
Authors are permitted to use AI-based tools or applications to assist with activities such as grammar checking, language editing, translation, organization of ideas, or refinement of writing style. The use of AI as an aid does not replace the author's responsibility to ensure the accuracy, originality, integrity, and scientific validity of the manuscript.
Authors are not permitted to list AI as an author, co-author, or contributor, as AI cannot be responsible for the content of the article, guarantee the integrity of the research, or meet the requirements of scientific authorship.
The use of Generative AI to generate text, tables, figures, code, analyses, or other substantial parts of the manuscript must be done with care. Authors are solely responsible for checking and verifying any information, data, interpretations, citations, references, and output generated by AI. Authors must not incorporate confidential or unpublished information, data, or materials into an AI system that does not guarantee data security and confidentiality.
If AI is used substantively in the preparation of a manuscript, authors must transparently disclose the use of AI in an appropriate section of the manuscript, for example, in the Acknowledgements, Declaration, or other section specified by the journal. This statement should at least include the type of AI used and the purpose of its use.

Example statement:
“The authors used [name of AI tool] to assist with language editing and improve the readability of the manuscript. All AI-generated or AI-assisted content was reviewed, verified, and revised by the authors, who remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the manuscript.”
The use of AI to generate or manipulate research data, fabricate false research results, falsify references, manipulate images or scientific evidence, or disguise plagiarism is not permitted. Authors remain obligated to adhere to the principles of academic integrity, research ethics, copyright, confidentiality, and the journal's anti-plagiarism policy.
By submitting a manuscript to the journal, the author certifies that the entire content of the article has been reviewed and is accountable for by the author. The journal reserves the right to request clarification regarding the use of AI and to take editorial action if it is found that the use of AI violates publication ethics, academic integrity, or journal policies.
